Write in candidates may have little chance of winning, but they immensely amplify political messaging, compared to political messaging that is attempted without a candidate to attach the messaging to.
Write in candidates are particularly useful to the #DeclareForDemocracy citizen effort as a means of applying constituent pressure to get the "regular" candidates to make the 2016 Congressional candidates' Declaration.
