I wish to persuade you to have an Independent protest candidate in the Alabama 6th Congressional district 2016 election.
What purpose do I think your Independent protest candidate should serve?
To me, Trump and Sanders, and other things, signify there is revolt on the right and revolt on the left against the establishment.
Where are you on this?
Are you on the right? Are you on the left? Are you in revolt?
If you are in revolt, is the Presidential election a sufficient outlet for you to express yourself?
Or do you also wish to express yourself against Congress?
I have been trying to make protest against Congress for two years in the Alabama 6th Congressional district.
For a sense of my protest, see Just answer the question, Gary Palmer, which is from September of 2014.
Since then I have been doing more work.
I have started a citizen effort for the American voters to use the 2016 elections to force Congress to confront, before Nov. 8, 2016, whether it is badly corrupt or not, and to pass reform for voters to consider in how they vote in November. The basic idea is for voters to demand that their candidates running for election in 2016 make public declarations calling on the current Congress to act before Nov. 8, 2016 or else face consequences from the voters on November 8th. For more information, please see 2016 Congressional candidates' Declarations.
I am calling this citizen effort #DeclareForDemocracy.
In Alabama, there are seven Congressional district elections and also an election for United States Senator. I have created this ALABAMA tweeting bank for Alabamians to tweet to fix Congress.

Thus far, there have been 2496 page views of the ALABAMA tweeting bank (coming from both persons in Alabama and persons outside of Alabama).
Added pressure can be applied if there is a candidate (the "protest candidate") running in a Congressional district whose sole purpose is to express that, if the other candidates running in the district, and particularly an incumbent who is running for reelection, do not make the declaration and follow through on the declaration before Nov. 8th, the voters have the threat that they may choose to vote for the protest candidate.
Whether that threat has any credibility to an incumbent running for Congress is something the incumbent needs to decide. The incumbent may dismiss it completely. If that is what the incumbent chooses to do, well, who knows how the voters may react.
So, having laid the foregoing out, I ask the voters in the Alabama 6th Congressional district: Do you want there to be such a protest candidate running in your Congressional district in the election this year?
If you, as a voter in the 6th Congressional district, want that, you and some other voters are going to have to sign a ballot access petition before March 1st, in order to have an Independent candidate in the race who will be such a protest candidate.
no, i don't Rob @RobShattuckAL06— Derek Waltchack (@dwaltchack) February 14, 2016
Update 2/17/16@dwaltchack ok, good enough. Thank you.— Rob Shattuck (@RobShattuckAL06) February 14, 2016
In considering whether you want a protest candidate, please also read Is there a third way?.
If you are in the 6th Congressional district and want me as a protest candidate, please print a ballot access petition for me which you can find here. Fill in the requested information and sign the petition. Please tweet me @RobShattuckAL06 or email me rdshattuck@gmail.com that you have signed the petition. Perhaps US mail will work for getting the signed petition to me before March 1st. Alternatively, I may need to arrange to pick it up from you. My address is 3812 Spring Valley Circle, Birmingham, AL 35223. My tel. no. is (205) 967-5586.
