Hey, United States Congress

We American citizens in the hinterlands are going through topsy turvy, whiplash, perplexity, and fright, about what is happening in our country's polity.

The talking heads on TV are telling us everyday about our anger and disgust for the political establishment and Washington DC, and this is gurgling over the sides of our cups.

The two Presidential nominees, we've heard, have the highest unfavorable ratings of Presidential nominees ever. How does this happen?

The general election has gone straight to the gutter, within days of the presumptive Presidential nominees being determined.

Can't someone in this country stop this?

Ladies and gentlemen in Congress, you are closer to us citizens in the hinterlands than the pyrotechnics of the Presidential election spinning out of control high above our heads.

Ladies and gentlemen in Congress, we need help. Talk to us, please, about what is going on, soothe our troubled souls, hold our hands, pretty please.

You are the elected leaders in Wash. DC for our States and districts, for us local yokels, for God's sake.

HELP.  HELP US GET THROUGH WHATEVER IS AFFLICTING US.

Please.
